Like you I decided to send my parcels by recorded delivery. Big mistake! The forst parcel I sent took a week to arrive, just before this weeks strike and when it finally arrived the tracking showed and still shows that a parcel was still with Royal Mail.I rang Royal Mail before it had been delivered and was told that the tracking didn't show where abouts the parcel was and that you only pay the extra for it to be signed for.I was also told that they are not prioritising recorded mail only Special delivery.
